From September 18th through the 20th at
the Crowne Plaza, Robert will be hanging
out with those fine folks that put on
ZombieFest with an all new convention,
now called "Horror Realm."
The
convention will feature the usual fare
of guests and vendors, but this one also
has an emphasis on horror authors and
artists with sponsors such as Library of
the Living Dead and Permuted Press, Rue
Morgue magazine, and The Art Institute
of Pittsburgh. The con also features
horror author panels and a zombie film
festival, as well as contests ranging
from jello brain eating, scariest
tattoo, hockey mask art, horror trivia,
and costumes.
Also
attending will be Bill Moseley, David
Naughton, Ken Foree, Tony Todd, Leslie
Easterbrook, and Tiffany Shepis.

Robert has a new role as Sheriff... in
the upcoming crime thriller "Business of
Death." Which also stars Joe Estevez,
Don Kress, Clem Caserta, and Tony
DeGuide. Due out early 2010!

We've been getting tons of emails asking
the questions - "Will there be a Maniac
Cop 4, and will Robert reprise the
role?" The answers for now are, "Yes and
No."
In a recent interview with Fangoria
Magazine, director
William Lustig broke the news that the
franchise, on which he teamed for three
movies with screenwriter Larry Cohen,
will soon see a rebirth. “Larry and I
have gotten the sequel rights back for
MANIAC COP, and we’re preparing to do a
MANIAC COP 4,” Lustig tells Fangoria. “I
don’t have any more details other than
that; this all happened within the last
month, so it’s so fresh… When I get back
to Los Angeles, Larry and I are going to
sit down and work on something.
We’re going to reinvent the
series with MANIAC COP 4,” Lustig said,
adding that original actor Robert Z’Dar
will not be donning the blue uniform
again. “We want to start fresh. We
replowed the field already.”
Wait! Hold on! Don't get down and out
yet - we are here to let know that the
big guy as of now may not be putting on
the badge this time, BUT he is heavily
involved with the film, behind the
scenes and even a possible cameo... stay
tuned on this one folks!

In a few days
Robert starts filming on two of his latest
projects - one new horror entitled "Stabbin
Kabin" and a hilarious comedy called
"Sister Mary." Both due out late 2009!

It's so close to Halloween we can taste
it here at Z'Dar.com and currently
Robert is on location for his new film
called "Sister Mary." A comedy/musical
also starring Joe Estevez! This film is
due out by mid summer 2009!

First off, everyone here at Robert
Z'Dar.com would like to wish each and
every one of you a Happy Holiday!
Secondly and just in time for Christmas,
we have started to add more film clips

section! This time we have added two bad
ass clips from the 1989 smash hit Tango
and Cash. Where Robert plays a crazed
convict set on revenge against Sylvester
Stallone's character, Ray Tango.

In a few days if schedule permits,
Robert will be finishing up his latest
shoot on a new gangster film he's
starring in entitled "Chicago Overcoat."
Where the fates of an aging hit man and
a washed up detective become entwined
when one last job leads to one last
chance to settle an old score. This is
going to be an action packed thriller
folks, and we'll keep you posted on a
release date! Stay tuned!

Robert is still rock-n-rolling! He is
currently back on set finishing up
scenes for the
upcoming John Wesley Norton film called
"Working Title." More on this film as it
further develops.

Later this month Robert will be shooting
the last few scenes to the upcoming Tony
De Guide thriller
"Voices From The Graves."
The synopsis of the film, a Chicago
Police Detective is being investigated
by the department of Internal Affairs for misconduct following his
confession of ghost sightings.
Now the character that Robert portrays
just may have something to do with those
sightings!
In addition, I have the distinct pleasure
of having a small part in this film and
I too will be on location later this
month.

Currently Robert has two films in post
production - The first is called "Voices
From the Graves" in which he
portrays a tormented ghost and stars
along side long time actor and friend
Joe Estevez. The second film is an
action filled drama entitled "The
Waiter." Look for both on DVD later
this year.
